Ok, so many of you know that I have a love of sewing. Well, a girl at work introduced me to knitting. Yes, I said knitting. However, it is not the traditional knitting one thinks of. I don't look like a grandma with her glasses on her nose, hair in a bun, with needles clacking while rocking in a rocking chair. I am doing what I like to call FAUX knitting. I use a loom and hook instead of knitting needles. At first, it looks super hard, but in reality, it's super easy! I love it! It keeps my hands busy and I need that sometimes! Let me show you what I'm working with...
Now let me show you what half of the blanket looks like...
I have been working on this for what feels like forever. (In reality, it was about a week's worth of work.) I finally finished it yesterday. Here is the finished product.
I can't wait to start my next one! I already know what colors it will be!!
Oh, I really wish I could do neat "old lady" stuff like this!! I got a sewing machine a few years ago, so until I tackle that then I'll consider doing something like this. Your projects look great so far!
Hey everyone, I'm so glad you stopped by to share in my blog. To tell you about myself, I am married to the most wonderful man. He proudly serves our great country in the United States Air Force. I am so proud of him.
I am a nurse in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and love my job. I see so much happiness, so that balances out the sadness. I have a great family and wonderful friends. I thank God everyday for the blessings He has bestowed upon me. I hope I never become complacent in the thanks I give Him because without Him, I am nothing...

I love it, Sis! It's so cute! Are you gonna give it to the baby at work? You know you have to show me how to do that, right?
How cute! I love it!!
Well aren't you just a talented little thing Laura! :) Beautiful job...I'm impressed!
Good job Laura! This DOES look hard! I've never seen anyone knit like with the things you used. I bet it was fun! Your finished product is so cute!

I love it! Always trying new things. That's what life is about. Trying to fit as much stuff in as possible!
