My Wonderfrul Husband

First of all, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! I just wanted to tell everyone how wonderful my husband is. He is so great, he's caring, he makes me laugh, I love his hugs (and kisses!), he knows just what to do to put me out of a foul mood...I just love him!! He is always doing sweet things for me. It doesn't have to big things that mean a lot, the little things are what melt my heart. Here's a for instance...at Ashlie's PEP, we all made chalkboards that were titled "Thank you God for...", well on mine, I had written three things, 1)Blair, 2)family, 3)our health. The other day, I was in the kitchen with him (he was making dinner, which I will expound on in a bit), and I glanced over and the chalkboard had been changed!!! He had erased what I had written an put in it's place that he was thankful for, and I quote, "a wonderful wife!" Now, I know all you women are saying, "Aww!" I know, because that's exactly what I did!!!! Now about dinner. I know most of you know, but for those who don't, I work at night. So it's difficult sometimes for me to get up and make dinner before I go. Blair has been so good about that. He takes it upon himself to make dinner, and then cleans up (most of the time!). And to top that, he's a wonderful cook! So those are two of the "little/big" things he does.

Let me now tell you about something truly romantic that he did on Tuesday. Tuesday was a day I had to work, so I was kind of bummed I wouldn't be at home with him. It was a normal, work day, I got up, we had dinner, and I left for work. Now, at work, we have this routine, get there, put your stuff down, clock in, scrub in, then go get your assignment in the work room up front. Since I am a creature of habit, this was the same routine I'd performed many times and I didn't break it on Tuesday. One thing that was different, however, is when I went to the work room, I saw a dozen roses with two balloon floating above them (2 hearts, one red, one pink), and I thought, "Aww, one of the day shift girl's husband sent them flowers, how sweet." All of a sudden though, the unit clerk swings around in her chair and almost yells at me "They're for you!" (I think she'd been waiting a while to tell me!) Needless to say, I was shocked!! I immediately called Blair and told him how thankful I was and how beautiful they were/are, and told him how I loved him so much. Does everyone agree that I am married to a truly wonderful man?!!

I love the note! How thoughtful to put his own message there. And the flowers? Don't you just love surprises in front of others?! That is the one thing about staying at home, there is no one to see that someone is thinking about you :) Sweet husband you have!
